This project for Realme’s Game of Thrones special edition was a real challenge from a production and cinematography point of view.
We had to shoot everything in a single day, moving through very different locations and setups: exterior scenes involving a horse, followed by interiors that required an almost one-hour company move. The schedule was tight, and the logistics were quite demanding.
In the morning, we had a pre-light planned for the interior scenes, but due to the nature of the day I wasn’t able to check it properly before arriving on set. Luckily, my gaffer did an incredible job and somehow managed to make everything work beautifully by the time we got there.
It was also my first time working with David, and from the very beginning we had a great creative connection. The feeling on set was really positive, and that made a complex shooting day feel much more fluid and collaborative.
