Some projects go beyond film and advertising—this was one of them.
Martín Salvador and I had the chance to create a documentary for the Irving Penn retrospective, and honestly, being part of something like this is priceless. Getting to interview some of the most important voices in fashion and photography? Unreal.
But more than that, telling the story of who Irving Penn was and making sure he's remembered the way he deserves—that’s the true power of documentary filmmaking.
Documentaries like this remind me why I love this craft. It’s not just about capturing images—it’s about preserving legacies, sharing stories that need to be told, and making sure history isn't forgotten. Every now and then, a project like this comes along that feels bigger than just a job. And being able to contribute, even in a small way, to something this meaningful? That’s everything.
